Louis Krudo is known for producing sizable and original knife designs. He produces small runs of limited numbers of each design. IOTA has been on sabbatical for several years, so in 2022 Krudo decided it was time to bring back some smaller blades. iKonik is the first of those to come to life.

iKonik is the brainchild of Krudo’s reimagined IOTA design. For anyone that met or owns Louis Krudo’s original IOTA Folder, iKonik will be an easy win. Krudo kept the compact profile along with the blade length of under 3 inches like the popular IOTA, but re-thought this little mac-daddy from tip to butt.
iKonik’s blade departs from its ancestor. Where the previous blade had a wide belly front and recurve, iKonik now sports an updated look, making this blade streamlined and sophisticated and will make you say, “Oh yeaaah”!
The slim stainless seel frame has G10 scales with an ambidextrous CNC pocket clip. But here’s the kicker; instead of bringing this one in with the same old spacer, Louis Krudo made iKonik with a ring spacer.
If you are a traditionalist or like a snazzy lanyard hanging from your knife, iKonik comes with 2 additional barrel spacers for easy lanyard attachment (lanyard not included).

Why might you want a ring spacer?
The main reason concerns deployment style. Which type of deployment fits you? With the ring, pocket deployment ends up as a reverse grip. point-down.
Without the ring, pocket deployment would be point-forward. The beauty is that both versions have the benefit of Louis Krudo’s original thumb wedge design.
